Air Shower
An Air Shower is a specialized enclosed chamber used in cleanroom and controlled environments to decontaminate personnel or equipment before they enter the clean area. It functions by blowing high-velocity, HEPA-filtered air to remove dust, microbes, and other contaminants from the surface of clothing or objects.
Purpose of an Air Shower:
- Prevent particulate contamination from entering cleanrooms.
- Act as an airlock between a clean zone and a less controlled area.
- Improve cleanroom performance and longevity by reducing the load on HVAC and filtration systems.
